Sometimes listed as Vol. 9 #4. The long-running vehicle for Disney character comics featured work by Carl Barks, Floyd Gottfredson, and Pogo's Walt Kelly. In a classic story from the Mickey Mouse comic strip, Pluto is befuddled by a talking dog (who's not Goofy). In a story by Barks, Huey, Dewey and Louie try to elude a truant officer who looks strangely familiar. This story is adapted from the Disney cartoon Truant Officer Donald, which Carl Barks also wrote. Plus a vintage ad for a Walt Kelly-drawn, circus-themed poster featuring all the Disney characters.
