In this issue (spoilers ahead): "The Vampire Prowls!" by Frank Belknap Long and Leonard Starr - A vampire is obsessed with musical comedy star Ruth Morton. Ruth's husband Bill consults Dr. Junius B. Jethro about the case. Dr. Jethro and two policemen track the vampire to a tomb in a cemetery. The vampire is identified on the coffin as Marvin Sanders, who died in 1954. Dr. Jethro kills him with a stake while the two police officers look on. The vampire turns into a skeleton in his coffin. Also: "The Specter of Little Dread House" with art by Edvard Moritz - "Tiny Tim" Carver and his tiny house return from the hereafter to terrorize Alice and Jim who have built their house where Tim's used to stand. And: "The Creekmore Curse" by Al Feldstein - Dr. Gaunt worked the dark arts to create demonic minions. His activities began in Whispering Hollow, within the county of Creekmore. In 1770, a lightning strike kills Gaunt and burns his house to the ground. Two centuries later, a research historian named Rand rebuilds the property using the surviving stonework. He and his assistant Betty move in. Gaunt enters the house in the form of a black dog. Soon, he is active once more. Dr. Gaunt chases Betty and Rand into the cemetery. The ghosts of his 18th century murdered victims and lightning prove to be his demise. Plus: "The Witch-Cat of Salem" with pencils by Ken Bald; 3/4-page text story "By the Light of the Lantern"; Strange Spirits 1-pager "Celtic Superstitions" with pencils by Edvard Moritz; Do Such Things Exist? tale "The Affair of the Ferrick Phantom" with art by Edvard Moritz; 1-page text story "The Empty House"; and King Charles in untitled True Ghosts of History 2-pager with art by King Ward. 52 pages, full color.
