The students are restless on the Empire State University campus. The old exhibit hall is being repurposed into an alumni center instead of a low-rent dormitory. And the student body -- including Randy Robertson -- is not happy about it. In the meantime before the exhibit hall closes, it will display one final item: a petrified clay tablet. The priceless tablet is said to hold an ancient secret in its hieroglyphics. And a certain Big Apple crime boss wants the tablet very badly! When the Kingpin learns that student protestors are taking over the exhibit hall, he makes his move to steal the tablet! But the large crime lord doesn't know that Spider-Man's alter ego is a student at ESU. So, when the Kingpin storms the exhibit hall, the web-slinger is right behind him! However, before she can find anything of value, the repaired Cyberex appears and takes Carol hostage, taking her back to Lawson's lab; When Mar-Vell arrives as "Lawson" he learns about Carol's kidnap and goes after Cyberex and tracks the robot back to Lawson's lab; There Mar-Vell has his hands full when the Aakon attack party also arrives; However, when Mar-Vell realizes that the Cyberex is attracted to Lawson's scent on his note book, Mar-Vell writes a Kree code number on the cover of the book, and leaves it for the Aakon to get a hold of; When the Aakon think it's a coded Kree plan, they become targets of Cyberex who kills them to get a hold of the source of Lawson's scent; Mar-Vell then manages to destroy Cyberex once and for all with his Uni-Beam to smash open the robot's housing and break its repair mechanism. 36 pgs., full color. Within these pages, thrill as the futuristic spaceman Rogers meets the Mongols, the Tiger Men of Mars, the Monkey Men of Planet X, ventures to the sunken city of Atlantis, and defends Earth against a Martian invasion. This is the original sci-fi hero who inspired the adventures of Flash Gordon, Adam Strange, and a young George Lucas to create Star Wars. Also included is an extensive glossary to the Buck Rogers universe, diagrams to spaceships including Roger's own Flying Needle, a map of the Planet Venus, along with pictures of weapons, vehicles, and gadgets.
