cover by bart sears bart sears/bart sears * THE SCOOP: The vampire hunter leaps from the silver screen to his own hard-hitting, hyper- kinetic ongoing series! * THE STORY: There is a dark movement creeping through the night--a gathering of the bloodsucking kind! And this vampiric convention heralds the coming of the most terrifying demonic entity ever-- the dreaded Daywalker! Only one man possesses the means to halt this unholy entrance, and that man is Blade, the half-vampire/half-human warrior! But what if the slayer himself is slain? And who are the mysterious agents of Silvereye that are watching all? It's X-Files meets The Lost Boys! It's the supernatural meets super heroics! It's cool new characters like the Reaper, Saracen the monk and Hrolf the hunter! It's demons, vampires, the undead and the barely living! It's a high adrenaline adventure that'll make the movie look like Polaroids! It's Blade like you've never seen him--but always wanted to! This isn't goofy goggles and splintering stakes--it's hi-tech horror in the Mighty Marvel Manner! * THE CREATORS: Bart Sears (SPIDER-WOMAN) was so intrigued by the slayer that he leaped at the chance to both write and draw the title! Just wait until you see the new characters he's cooked up! * THE FORMAT: This 48-page issue kicks off the monthly series. * THE SUPPORT: Look for ads, articles, online coverage and P.O.P. items. And don't forget the continuing mass market awareness of the character: Blade has been rented more than 20 million times since its video release in December of 1998, while sales of the Blade DVD have remained in the top 20 since December 1998, making it the 3rd best selling DVD of all time! * MARVEL MEMO: Dynamic Forces will offer a signed version of BLADE: VAMPIRE HUNTER #1. Please refer to the DF section for full details on this exciting collectors' item." Cover price $3.50.
