By Charles Soule.
Inside a barn in Ann Arbor, Michigan, a scientist searching for an Alzheimer's cure throws a switch and finds herself mysteriously transported into her husband's body. What begins as a botched experiment will change her life and the world-forever. Over two decades later, all across the planet, "flash" technology allows individuals the ability to transfer their consciousness into other bodies for specified periods, paid, registered, and legal. But beyond the reach of the law and government regulators is a sordid black market called the darkshare, where desperate "vessels" anonymously rent out their bodies, no questions asked for any purpose.
Sex, drugs, crime... or worse. Anyone masterfully interweaves the present-day story of the discovery and development of the flash with the gritty tale of one woman's crusade to put an end to the darkness it has brought to the world twenty-five years after its creation.

Volume 1 - 1st printing. Written by Tony Lee. Art and cover by Yishan Lee. Would one girl be the key to uniting a world split by an ages-old prophecy spurred by Brother Havoc and Sister Fortune? A thousand years ago, a mighty battle pitched two of the greatest sorcerers against each other, Brother Havoc and Sister Fortune. In the end Brother Havoc won, shattering his rival into a thousand shards. Now, a millennia later, teenager Carrie Taylor not only learns that she is one of these shards, but that each shard created an alternate universe, with multiple versions of her out there-and a great evil is bent on destroying them all. Carrie must team with a handful of "alternate" Carries from across the universes to fulfill a prophecy that will bring Sister Fortune back from limbo to defeat this evil, but the more Carrie travels from broken universe to broken universe, she realizes she might not be working for the "good guys"-nor, perhaps, is she one of these shards after all. Published Apr 2011 by Sorcery 101.$2.50
1st printing. By Kel Mcdonald. This book contains two self-contained graphic novels set in the universe of Sorcery 101, both originally published as a webcomic. "Strange Someone" is about a young writer discovering that Jeff, the nurse she met while writing a medical romance book, not only has some odd peculiar quirks, but also seems to harbour a bigger secret. This part had a difficult history on the web as it lost the first two illustrators during its original publication. The print version has been completely remade in the style of the third and last artist - which, unfortunately for me, is the style I like less, as I find it unnecessarily goofy and cartoony. "As We Were" is a slice of life of Lope and Suzanne, the first a magical creature disguised as a human, the second a human woman in search of vengeance after her family was killed by the vampire Seth. The story follows the duo as they try to hunt Seth down, leading them eventually to Lope's homeland, and focuses on Suzanne's moral dilemma that her hunt for Seth is slowly eroding everything else in her life. Softcover, 6-in. x 9-in., 200 pages, Full Color. Cover price $19.99.
