Donald Duck's Atom Bomb (#Y1 1947) is the rarest of the Cheerios Premiums. Features Carl Barks art. Due to the atomic bomb theme, Disney will never reprint the Atom Bomb story as presented here in the original, non-censored version. Donald had "got a way picked out to make money - and lots of it!" by selling an "atomic hair-grower" at $1.00 per bottle. A cash register and money in a customer's hand is depicted. In the censored version, Donald has "more than money in mind" and gives away free samples of a normal hair-grower. The word "atomic" is removed from the board, but most noticeable are the cash register being replaced for a pyramid of bottles and the people in the queue having combs in their hands instead of dollar bills. Appearances by: Donald Duck, Huey Dewey and Louie, Professor Mollicule, and Professor Sleezy. Cheerios 1947, 32-page, full color, newsprint promotional comic, 6-7/8 x 3-1/8, Issue #Y1. 32 pages.

Helena and Frank Seleski are twins. She's a theologian. He's a physicist. They've both spent their lives in search of the same thing -- GOD. In the strange new world of the revised Valiant Heroes Universe, these two people seek answers to the frustrating questions of the universe and the meaning of life. How different are Frank and Helena from you or I? Simple -- they're going to find the answer! Frank pushes the limits of physics and science, looking behind the smallest quark and beyond the largest neutron star. Helena probes the Vatican's hidden tomes of long dead priests and messianic visionaries. Little by little, each of them has been obtaining pieces to this elusive puzzle (which includes some major secrets to the history and nature of the Valiant Universe), but they will have to combine their talents in order to reach their goal and touch the hand of God. But when they get there, will they find the grace of God...or the return of the most powerful, complex, terrifying and fascinating Valiant character in existence? If the title doesn't clue you in, then you'll have to wait to find out! Written by Warren Ellis, with art by Darick Robertson, Larry Mahlstedt and Steve Geiger. 48 pg, FC. Cover price $3.95.

Story and art by Mike Allred.
This is the big one (or little one, depending on how you look at it)! The classic "Innerverse" saga is now collected in one swanky volume. This is also the first King-Size edition of The Atomics printed on the "fancy-schmancy" paper as well, giving you the finest spotlight for Laura Allred's award-winning colors. This saga is where Luna "It Girl" Romy is kidnapped by the dangerously confused Electric Eel and stolen away to the mysterious "Innerverse." Will he successfully sell her into intergalactic slavery? Can she save herself? Or will the hot pursuit of the rest of the gang arrive in time to save the day?
This collection is also of note with the distinctive debut of Spaceman, the greatest sci-fi adventure hero since Flash Gordon (or so says the guy who unboxes the comics at our local comic shop)! The book has got it all! Makes a great gift! Guaranteed to fit on your shelf next to the other squarebound comic books that you may have on a shelf! Act now!

Stories by Richard E. Hughes. Art by Sheldon Moldoff. Cover by Ogden Whitney. The crew of an atomic-powered submarine roams the seas, battling threats to American naval supremacy. Commander Bill Battle, Doc Blake, Champ Ruggles, and Tony Gardello become The Atomic Commandos, sea-going adventurers assigned to battle a secret new threat to American security. Hostile flying saucers attacking the U.S. turn out to originate from neither outer space nor Soviet Russia, but from the undersea kingdom of Atlantis! Produced in 3-D Truevision, says the cover, with no glasses needed. This turns out to mean the panels are shaped like little TV screens against a black background, with no 3-D effects.
