A strange scavenger hunt game commences, but it appears to be Veronica's doing in order to snare Archie for herself (say it ain't so, Veronica!) in "Name of the Game." Betty has Archie enter a contest with her in order to win a hundred gallons of free gas, but things don't go as planned when, after they win, Archie proclaims he has enough gas to drive Veronica around all summer (Archie, why?) in "No Contest." During a summer day at the beach, Betty plots to separate Archie from a female foreign exchange student (because like death and taxes, there's one thing you can always count on and that's Betty going all crazy jealous regarding Archie and women) in "Dizzy Tizzy."
