As indicated by the title logo and indicia, this issue was a tryout for the later Charlton war comic simply titled "War." Charlton's long-running series focused on the military exploits of the US Marines throughout the 20th century. During the Civil War, a woman tries to talk her son out of enlisting by describing his ancestors who died in America's wars, but that has the opposite effect. A comics history of the Battle of Little Big Horn and Custer's Last Stand. An old man reflects on his youth as a WWI aerial ace, in a story with art by Peacemaker co-creator Pat Boyette.
