"The Winds of Watoomb" Part 1 of 3. Guest-starring Captain America, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and the Scarlet Witch. Script by Roy Thomas. Pencils by Andre Coates. Inks by Don Hudson. Cover by Andre Coates and Don Hudson. The Master of the Mystic Arts and the wall-crawler thought they had seen the last of Xandu in the Spider-Man/Dr. Strange (1992) graphic novel titled: "The Way to Dusty Death"; but they were wrong! From his padded cell in a New York insane asylum, Xandu summons and reassembles the powerful Wand of Watoomb! And then he quickly escapes to the Death Dimension. Dr. Strange senses the return of the wand and asks the Scarlet Witch and Spider-Man -- two heroes with a past history with Xandu -- to aid him in stopping Xandu again! But when Captain America shows up at the asylum, the Sorcerer Supreme doesn't know what to do with Cap. Should the Sentinel of Liberty join the mission into the Death Dimension? Appearance by Melinda Morrison. (Notes: Dr. Strange and Spider-Man first encountered Xandu in the classic Amazing Spider-Man (1st series) Annual #2. The Scarlet Witch and the web-slinger fought Xandu in the Death Dimension in Marvel Fanfare (1st series) #6.) 32 pages. Cover price $1.75.
