After a nine-year hiatus, Charlton Comics revives its long-running sci-fi superheroics title. This issue reprints some of the earliest adventures of Captain Atom, featuring early art by Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko. A hapless worker trapped on an experimental rocket is transformed into the atomic-powered superhero Captain Atom. Captain Atom uses his new atomic powers to enter space and save the first Russian cosmonaut. Then he tries to escort a dignitary to a peace conference, but someone doesn't want him to arrive.
