"Forced Landing." These promotional 36 page comics were free with the purchase of a carton of Canada Dry (stapled to cartons; staples or staple holes are normal). All three featured a full-length Terry and the Pirates adventure, plus a pin-up of a different character on the last page of each. Volume 2 - 1st printing. "1948-1949!" Art and cover by George Wunder. Milton Caniff's masterpiece, Terry and the Pirates, perhaps the most influential action/adventure comic strip every created returns! After Caniff left the strip in 1946 to create Steve Canyon he was succeeded by George Wunder. Under Wunder's stewardship the strip continued for almost another 27 years. Volume Two picks up with the story "Ancient Greed" and presents three complete continuties.
