Meet Clay Washburn, who in the 1930s and 1940s, tries to make a living by cranking out fiction for the popular "pulp" magazines of the day and struggles with whatever life puts in his path. In addition to Clay's world, in each issue, you also often see the adventures of the fictional characters that he is working on. In this issue, "Tis the Season to be Jolly" has Clay low on funds and struggling financially while the Christmas season approaches and he works on the adventures of Congo Carson. Script by Dave Darrigo and art by R.G. Taylor. Issue also has multi-page text feature and art on the old pulp magazines and a Wordsmith portfolio. Cover price $2.00.
