Dick Tracy Feature Book (1982-1983 Chicago Tribune Reprint) 9

Dick Tracy and the Famon Boys. Stories, art and cover by Chester Gould. A 1982 reprint of Dick Tracy Feature Book (1937) #9. Pioneering comics publisher David McKay's Feature Book was the first US comic book to devote complete issues to a single character. This issue reprinted classic Dick Tracy comic strips from 1935-1936. This "very limited" reprint edition can be easily identified by the reprint notice on the inside front cover. Tracy temporarily becomes Chief of Police in small-town Homeville to reduce crime. But his arrival coincides with that of gangsters Cut and Muscle Famon, and their equally deadly mother, Maw Famon. 8.5-in. x 11-in., 96 pages, B&W. Cover price $0.10.
