"Killing Pitch," art by Pete Morisi; "Lefty" Caruthers, formerly an undistinguished pitcher in minor league baseball, has found that he has better skills with hand grenades, and earns the respect of his peers on the battlefield. "The Runt Breaks Through!", script by Robert Bernstein, art by Charles Nicholas; Corporal Sammy Kuyler is a little guy who has to bear the brunt of his unit's humor, but when the enemy gets them in a tight squeeze, Sammy takes advantage of his size and saves the day.
