Owlhoots set a trap for Rod using banker Turnbull as bait, in a story that opens with the line, "Scuttle dust, War Paint! Some buzzards are holding up Pop Bricker's store!" Rod goes undercover as a convict to learn where a counterfeiter hid his phony plates. Plus a text story by Mary Marvel co-creator Otto Binder.
