    Stories and art by Ernie Bushmiller, Charles Schulz, Al Capp, Russell Patterson, Elizabeth Woodward, and Elsie Hix. The comic-strip adventures of aspiring model Fritzi Ritz and her boyfriend, the bumbling Phil Fumble. Fritzi was later known as "Aunt Fritzi" in the Nancy comic strip. Fritzi and Phil are caught in a comedy of errors after making a fish-vendor spill his catch. Phil chases a stolen guitar that no one wants him to catch. One of the backup strips in the comic is Charles Schulz's Peanuts, then only in its fifth year; several daily strips are presented in full color. Other backup strips include Al Capp's Li'l Abner, Russell Patterson's Mamie, and the Ripley-like Strange As It Seems.
