Numbering continues from Cowboy Love (1949) #31, while the title itself comes from a Fawcett romance comic. Janie falls for handsome Doug, the forest ranger who rescued her from a fire, but a forest fire threatens to separate them forever. Scheming Sylvia sets up Amy and Steve to clear a path to Amy's job, but she didn't expect to fall for Steve herself. Secretary Ruth sets her sights on her boss Red, but he's already dating her old high-school classmate Doris. Also the first issue with the Comics Code seal on the cover.
