Davey Jones and hero-team UNDERSEA defend the Earth's oceans from super-villainy. Davy volunteers for the experimental Molecular Densifier, in a great sci-fi sequence featuring art by future Marvel legend Gil Kane. This allows him to swim without tanks and dive to the ocean depths, where he meets the undersea society of the beautiful Elysse, in a story written by legendary sci-fi and comics scribe Gardner Fox. Merman investigates Lobster Island, where a disfigured mad scientist commands an army of gigantic, genetically-engineered crustaceans to do his bidding.
