Young Romance Comics (1963-1975 DC) 195

Cover by Jay Scott Pike. Stories by Robert Kanigher and unknown. Art by Werner Roth & Vince Colletta and unknown. The main character in "Nobody's In Love" is nameless, but she feels like a nobody. A random encounter with a couple underscores this, as the other girl refers to her as "a stray dog." She joins a pen-pal group and receives a letter from a boy who signs his letter "Nobody," feeling the same as she. By chance, she meets the boy from the couple, who takes a liking to her. They spend time together and attend a beach party, where the other girl slips a letter to him. She was delivering a letter from "Nobody," and it is revealed that the two main characters have been writing each other the letters! Plus: Ann loves her sister Sherry's boyfriend, Danny. She tried dating others, but still thinks of Danny. Danny tells Ann that he doesn't love Sherry anymore and he kisses Ann, saying the same words he had said to Sherry. She pushes him aside, thinking to herself that Sherry will learn the same lesson that she has learned in "Bitter Lesson in Love!" Also: Veronica Fields is the character who has everything, including Dana, the kind of man Bette wishes to be with. When Veronica must go away for a month, she asks Bette to go with Dana to all the events they have tickets for, so the tickets aren't wasted. She states that Dana couldn't care anything for Bette. However, as Bette and Dana attend the events, they fall in love, which Veronica discovers on her return in the reprint story "Picture of Heartbreak!" (Note: One page omitted.) And: 1-page Marc -- On the Man's Side! advice column. 32 pages, full color. Cover price $0.20.
