Zaxon tries to sap the power of the Hulk for his own nefarious ends but ends up getting himself killed in the process; free once again, the Hulk rips up some train tracks to throw at pesky fighter jets and wouldn't you know that Hercules just happens to be riding in the oncoming locomotive; Hulk and Herc battle to a standstill before the jade giant leaps off to fight another day in "The Titan and the Torment," reprinted from Tales to Astonish (1959-1968 1st Series) #79. Plus: Little realizing that he is under the control of the Puppet Master, the Army tries to capture Namor for robbing a bank; after being shot in the arm, Namor seeks the healing power of water and winds up in the Hudson River; there he encounters Lady Dorma who has come to the surface world to retrieve him as the Behemoth has awakened and is menacing Atlantis; Namor breaks Puppet Master's hold and returns to his undersea kingdom; and Krang contacts Puppet Master and commands that he make one of his special puppets of someone else in "When Rises the Behemoth," also reprinted from Tales to Astonish (1959-1968 1st Series) #79. 32 pages, full color. "They Dwell in the Depths" - The Hulk is pulled into the underground kingdom of Tyrannus, who has been separated from the fountain of youth and has become a feeble old man. The Jade Giant's old foe asks for his help in retaking the fountain from his rival, the Mole Man, and he makes his argument for assistance stronger by revealing that he has captured Rick, Betty and Glenn. When Betty mentions Banner, Hulk goes wild but his destruction is put to an abrupt end as the Mole Man attacks. The Hulk fights Mole Man's powerful Octo-Sapien robot and falls into the fountain of youth, transforming him back into Banner! "To the Death" - Namor battles the Behemoth with the fate of Atlantis hanging in the balance; Krang has Puppet Master build a puppet of the Behemoth so he can control the creature mentally; even under Krang's control, Namor is able to beat the monster; Krang snatches victory from defeat, however, when he shows up in Atlantis and informs the Lady Dorma that he will use the puppet to bring the Behemoth back unless she agrees to marry him! 32 pages, full color. "The Stage Is Set" - The Secret Empire hires Boomerang to obtain the plans for the Orion missile and the new bad guy on the block heads for gamma base. As Rick, Betty and Glenn are returned to the surface from the underground subterranean kingdom, Boomerang captures Betty to use as a bargaining chip for the missile. Banner frantically makes his way through a pitched battle between the forces of the Mole Man and Tyrannus, trying to find a way to return to the surface and help his friends but it is only when he once again becomes the Hulk that he accidentally stumbles on the right machine that accomplishes the task! "When a Monarch Goes Mad" - Namor is driven mad by the betrayal of Lady Dorma (she agreed to marry Krang last issue in order to protect the Sub-Mariner from the monstrous Behemoth). Dorma and Krang turn their skin to flesh color and head to the surface world to hide out! 32 pages, full color. Cover price $0.20.
