Sallying forth on a quest for Pez, The Tick ends up helping a gum-shoe detective take on a bevy of hideous criminals as well as a pit full of man-eating alligators and cows, all in a bid to keep their leader, Chairface Chippendale, from writing his name on the moon; The Tick adopts his in-famous and little plagiarized battle cry--"SPOON!" Arthur and Tick have dinner with Art's sister, but their repast is interrupted by two goons shooting at them. After Man-Eating Cow lends a...uh...an udder in dispatching the villains, Tick decides that he and Arthur will leave for New York to fight real crime and leave their bovine companion to patrol The City in their stead. After countless miles of driving all over creation, Arthur insists that they do the unthinkable--ask for directions. The Chainsaw Vigilante cuts his way through the rest of the Civic-Minded Five and sets his sights on the Tick and Arthur. Essay in which Ben Edlund discusses how the car used in this issue by Tick and Arthur is based on his friends real life vehicle. 36 pgs., B&W. $2.75. Cover price $2.75.
