"Zero Hour!", script by Harvey Kurtzman, pencils by John Severin, inks by Bill Elder; The new recruits were obviously nervous, awaiting the order from the Sergeant to go over the top toward the Jerries; One in particular stuck close to the Sergeant, who promised to "show him the ropes", when all of a sudden, a German machine gun opened up on them, causing the friendly forces to retreat.
