Soon after Action Comics #1 hit the newsstands in 1938, it became clear that comic books were the next big thing. Victor S. Fox was, at that time, an accountant for DC comics, and he lost no time in leaving DC and setting up his own comic titles, starting with Wonderman in Wonder Comics #1.
