  • Published by James Mortimer, "London Figaro" was a twice-weekly London magazine devoted to politics, literature, art and satire during the Victorian era. Also noted for publishing candid theatre reviews that required the reviewers to use the pseudonym, "Almaviva". Bound collection of non-concurrent issues; 506, 508, 510, 512, 514, 518-565. Dates range from June 6, 1874 to December 30, 1874. Each issue is 16 pages. Hardcover. Half-leather over marbled boards, titles stamped in gild along spine. Bound by the Aubrey Bindery in Salisbury.
