Maximum Ride: Book 4 - 1st printing. By James Patterson. In this breathtaking new story from the astonishing imagination of James Patterson, a girl has to save herself from an army assembled just to capture her-and maybe save the planet while she's at it. Maximum Ride is a perfectly normal teenager who just happens to be able to fly, the result of an out-of-control government experiment. Max and the other members of the Flock-six kids who share her remarkable ability-have been asked to aid a group of environmental scientists studying the causes of global warming. The expedition seems like a perfect combination of adventure, activism-and escaping government forces who watch the Flock like a hawk. But even in Antarctica, trapped in the harshest weather on our planet, Maximum Ride is an irresistible target in constant danger. For whoever controls her powers could also control the world . . . Maximum Ride is James Patterson's greatest character, a heroine who manages to be human and fearless at once. THE FINAL WARNING is an unrelenting new adventure from the writer Time magazine has called "The Man Who Can't Miss." Hardcover, 256 pages, Text Only. NOTE: "Three cheers! Max is one of the smartest, strongest, funniest heroines around." - Diane Garrett, Diane's Books Cover price $20.00.

Art and Introduction by Ferdinando Tacconi.
Originally published in War Picture Library (1958-1984 IPC/Fleetway) UK #49 and Air Ace Picture Library (1960-1970 Fleetway) #11, 37 and 54, these four stories showcase the art of the great Ferdinando Tacconi.
His style is immediately recognizable, with a very clear line work and some interesting curly cues done in pen and ink.
He wisely used an uncluttered art that, with the passage of time, became more and more limited to the essential. The care he applied to the environment and details of each panel he drew, especially in his way of presenting vehicles or his beloved aircraft, made him one of the top artists around the world. In fact, Tacconi would never hide his deep love for flying machines, which accompanied him throughout his career, both inside and outside the comic pages he drew.

First Printing. Written and Illustrated by Wayne Vansant. The Battle of Gettysburg is a landmark event in United States history. Widely recognized as the Civil Wars turning point, it accounted for the most casualties of any battle during the war and spelled the beginning of the end for the Confederacy. In this powerful graphic history, Wayne Vansant describes the history leading up to the Battle of Gettysburg, as well all of the major military events on July 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, including the famous fight for Little Round Top on the second day and the death march known as Picketts Charge on the third and final day. He paints portraits of each armys leaders, such as Robert E. Lee, James Longstreet, George Meade, and the then little-known Joshua Chamberlain. Vansant concludes a few months later at the dedication of the Soldiers National Cemetery in November, 1863, when Abraham Lincoln delivered one of the most iconic speeches of all time, the Gettysburg Address. Gettysburg delivers one of the hallmark events of American history in an exciting and innovative format. Softcover, 6" x 9", 96 pages, full color. Cover price $19.99.

Tags: Glorkian Warrior GN (First Second Books) (part 3)Published Mar 2016 by First Second Books.$7.00
1st printing. Story and art by James Kochalka. The Glorkian Warrior is back, and we are sincerely sorry. In the third volume of James Kochalka's off-kilter science fiction series for young readers, the eponymous hapless space adventurer is joined by three horribly annoying little kids. Everything is terrible, and nothing is okay. Well, that's not entirely true. There's a really great mustache. And a valiant cup of coffee. And a truly dastardly villain. And the Glorkian SuperGrandma even makes an appearance! With gorgeous, lively illustrations and super silly humor, this volume in the Glorkian Warrior series is jam-packed with extra-gross gross-out humor and ludicrously bad decisions. Obviously, it's the best yet. Softcover, 128 pages, full color. Cover price $14.99.

Story and art by Lauren R. Weinstein.
Goddess of War traces the life of the title character, from her majestic beginnings as the best Valkyrie and the great granddaughter of Thor, to her present position as the Goddess. But she's bored of determining the outcome for all wars on earth. So she leaves her isolated planet of vampires, wolves and volcanoes to visit Earth, where she quits her job being a Goddess to be with her lover, the Apache Chief. This angers her boss, the king of the Gods, and he decides to exact vengeance upon them. Will he succeed in punishing them or will the lovers escape the hand of fate? Goddess of War is based on the character that Weinstein plays in her rock band, Flaming Fire.
The story will be told in deluxe, oversized format with both pen and ink and etchings.
