This graphic memoir tells the story of the early years of the Vietnam war as seen through the eyes of a young boy named Marco, the son of a Vietnamese diplomat and his French wife. By Fred Kaplan.
From the author of the classic The Wizards of Armageddon and Pulitzer Prize finalist comes the definitive history of American policy on nuclear war—and Presidents actions in nuclear crises—from Truman to Trump.
Fred Kaplan, hailed by The New York Times as a rare combination of defense intellectual and pugnacious reporter, takes us into the White House Situation Room, the Joint Chiefs of Staffs Tank in the Pentagon, and the vast chambers of Strategic Command to bring us the untold stories—based on exclusive interviews and previously classified documents—of how Americas presidents and generals have thought about, threatened, broached, and just barely avoided nuclear war from the dawn of the atomic age until today.
Kaplans historical research and deep reporting will stand as the permanent record of politics. Discussing theories that have dominated nightmare scenarios from Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Kaplan presents the unthinkable in terms of mass destruction and demonstrates how the nuclear war reality will not go away, regardless of the dire consequences.

Story and art by Janet Biehl.
In the summer of 2012 the Kurdish people of northern Syria set out to create a multiethnic society in the Middle East. Syria plunged into civil war, the Kurds and their Arab and Assyrian allies established a self-governing polity that was not only multiethnic but democratic. And women were not only permitted but encouraged to participate in all social roles alongside men, including political and military roles. To implement these goals, Rojava wanted to live in peace with its neighbors. Instead, it soon faced invasion by ISIS, a force that was in every way its opposite.
When ISIS attacked the mostly Kurdish city of Kobane and overran much of it, the YPG and YPJ, or people's militias, declined to flee. Instead they resisted, and several countries, seeing their valiant resistance, formed an international coalition to assist them militarily.

Argosy revives Web-Man, the classic pulp hero with a theme similar to a certain modern-day superhero. Web-Man battles Vermillion, The Octopus and Dr. Kraken, in a story by acclaimed Batman writer Chuck Dixon. Time Warrior is based on characters originally appearing in the aviation pulp G-8 and His Battle Aces, with art by comics legend Sam Glanzman. Green-skinned Grun battles Stahlmaske and Razorfist, whose Wolverine-like claws are a mere coincidence. A flip-book with two covers, one of which is by Timothy Truman of Grimjack fame. The Face of Time; The Tentacles of Dr. Kraken. 40 pages, Full Color. Cover price $2.50.
