Story and art by Rich Tommaso. Things seem to be going from bad to worse in Paradise Falls, at least as far as Fran is concerned. She's nearly run over by a truck, discovers she has a stalker, and can't find anything to eat in her mom's kitchen. She can't take much more. But, on the plus side, she has met Mel, the only (relatively) normal person in town. So maybe things are looking up. But then again, what is that on the front porch? Rich Tommaso delivers another chapter in his atmospheric-but-funny new thriller that is not to be missed. 24 pages, B&W. Cover price $2.95.

Volume 2 - 1st printing. "Aug. 1953 - Apr. 1954!" Collects Tales of Horror (1952-1954 Toby/Minoan) #6-10.Cover by Jack Sparling. Featuring Stories by Rocco Mastroserio, Jack Sparling, Mel Keefer, Howard Rosenberger, Bill Molno, George Olesen, and Ben Brown. Toby Press was a small but respectable comics publisher, which also used the imprint Minoan; they put out one issue of Tales of Terror, then got hit by a cease-and-desist order from E.C., which used that title for their annuals (don't worry we'll bring you that particular issue later on). Toby dropped that and started over with Tales of Horror, which ran for 13 issues. Toby may be the only comics publisher to swipe the urbane and cynical stories of John Collier, rather than relying on Poe, Lovecraft, and the like. Softcover, 184 pages, full color. Cover price $32.99.
