Written by Liz Prince. Art by Amanda Kirk. Cover by Kat Leyh. Punk isn't dead...but Coady is. Coady, Criss, and Corey are sisters and bandmates in the band Coady and the Creepies. After a van accident leaves Corey badly scarred and Criss in a wheelchair, they're getting back into the punk scene. But they still need to contend with the challenges of staying true to their punk ideals, while also dealing with the media attention they've attracted, as well as the tension surrounding the fact that Coady escaped the accident seemingly unscathed. Now on tour, they're fighting their way through the (sometimes literal) battle of the bands, earning enamel pins, and heading for the gig of their lives…so long as no one realizes that Coady is actually a ghost. 24 pages, full color. First a game of TRUTH OF DARE goes wrong when Abby Miller confesses her crush on Jake Chilson. The only people who know her secret are her friends at the sleepover-and whoever sent her a text message in the middle of the night warning her to stay away from Jake...or else! But Abby isn't going to stay away from Jake, especially not after he asks her to the school dance. As the night of the dance comes closer, some very creepy things start happening to Abby. Someone definitely wants to keep her away from Jake. Is it a jealous classmate or, as Abby begins to suspect, could it be a ghost? Then, Emily Hunter loves hanging out with her new neighbors. From their decked-out rec room to their almost-professional guitar playing, Drew and Vicky Strig are super cool. Since Drew and Vicky are homeschooled, Emily's other friends haven't gotten to know them yet. So Emily comes up with a plan for everyone to meet-a big party and sleepover at her house! But as Emily gets ready for the party, she begins to wonder about Drew and Vicky. They won't let Emily into certain rooms in their house. And a wolf howls on their lawn every night. Is it only Emily's overactive imagination or are the new neighbors more than just a little strange, or is Emily right to proclaim "YOU CAN'T COME IN HERE!"? Finally, Birthday girl and queen of all things creepy Kelly Garcia is all set to have the perfect night. Her parents are going out of town, and with just a babysitter, Kelly's practically on her own. It's the perfect time for a virtual webcam sleepover where she and her friends can scare each other silly by telling ghost stories and summoning the spirit of Miss Mary, a woman from their small town who died tragically a long time ago. But when her friends start disappearing one by one and the babysitter is nowhere to be found, Kelly starts getting scared for real. Will Kelly be the next to face the ghost's wrath, or is she READY FOR A SCARE? Hardcover, 6-in. x 10-in., 470 pages, full color.

By Bill Schelly.
The definitive biography of the visionary publisher of Famous Monsters of Filmland, the magazine that inspired filmmakers Steven Spielberg, George Lucas - now available in paperback.
In Empire of Monsters, the award-winning biographer Bill Schelly digs beneath the hype and myth-making to tell the true story of James Warren, one of the 20th century's most influential and independent publishers. Featuring numerous eye-opening, often outrageous anecdotes about the colorful, larger-than-life figure, this book covers Warren's childhood in the slums of south Philadelphia, a traumatic military injury during the Korean War, the hardscrabble origins of Warren Publishing, its great success and ignominious end - as well as his reemergence on the public scene in the 1990s, and the lawsuit to regain ownership of his literary properties.
For this impeccably researched biography, Schelly offers insight from new interviews with Warren's colleagues, editors, and friends, augmented by unpublished interviews gathered in past years with Frank Frazetta, Archie Goodwin, Al Williamson, Bill DuBay, Tom Sutton, Bernie Wrightson, Richard Corben, and Warren himself.
Originally published in 2019, Empire of Monsters quickly sold out. Fantagraphics is pleased to make this groundbreaking biography of one of comics' central historical figures available again in an affordable paperback edition.
Softcover, 272 pages, Text (with B&W Photos and Illustrations and 8 pages of full color Illustrations).

1st Printing - Written by John T. Flynn. My purpose in writing this book is to attempt to describe the road along which this country is traveling to its destruction. Human societies come under the influence of great tides of thought and appetite that run unseen deeply below the surface of society. After a while these powerful streams mass along with them without the individuals in the mass being aware of the direction in which they are going. Up to a certain point it is possible to resist these controlling tides and to reverse them, but a time comes when they are so strong that society loses its power of decision over the direction in which it is going. I believe we are now moving along under the dominion of such tides and that all things we do to deal with our accumulating perils are futile because we do not understand the tides nor the direction in which they are carrying us. I believe that we still have in our hands the means of checking this onrush to disaster. Softcover Digest, 4.5" x 7", 208 pages, B&W, text only.
