1st printing. Based on the Story by Charles Dickens. Adapted by Harvey Kurtzman. Script by Josh O'Neill and Shannon Wheeler. Art and cover by Gideon Kendall. Introduction by Denis Kitchen. ABLAZE and Comixology Originals are proud to present Harvey Kurtzman's Marley's Ghost. Enjoy this Eisner Award Winning version of Dickens' A Christmas Carol in graphic novel form, in print for the first time! Marley's Ghost is the posthumous completion of legendary creator Harvey Kurtzman's adaptation of the classic Charles Dickens' novel-A Christmas Carol. Kurztman's ambitious concept for Marley's Ghost began in the 1950s-as an early "graphic novel"-but was never realized. Now, over 70 years later, writers Josh O'Neill and Shannon Wheeler expand upon Kurtzman's extensive adaptation notes while illustrator Gideon Kendall's outstanding artwork utilizes Kurtzman's breakdowns and stylistic choices to make this long-lost vision a reality! As a bonus, the book also includes a behind-the-scenes backmatter section and the original Charles Dickens prose story! Harvey Kurtzman (1924-1993) was the creator of MAD, Playboy's Little Annie Fanny and TRUMP, and Help Magazine. He is considered one of the most influential creators in the history of sequential art with the industry's Harvey Awards named in his honor. Gideon Kendall is an illustrator and animation designer whose clients include Disney, Cartoon Network, and The New York Times. Josh O'Neill is the Eisner and Harvey Award-winning writer and editor of Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream. Shannon Wheeler is the Eisner Award-winning creator of the comic Too Much Coffee Man and a contributor to The New Yorker. Eisner Award WINNER - Best Digital Comic of 2018! Harvey Kurtzman had a Midas touch for talent, but was himself an astonishingly talented and influential artist, writer, editor, and satirist. The first and only authorized celebration of this "Master of American Comics," The Art of Harvey Kurtzman includes hundreds of never-before-seen illustrations, paintings, pencil sketches, newly discovered lost E.C. Comics layouts, color compositions, illustrated correspondence, and vintage photos from the rich Kurtzman archives. Hardcover, 11-in. x 10-in., full color. Mature Readers Cover price $40.00.

Story and Art by Harvey Kurtzman.
MAD would have been enough to cement Harvey Kurtzman's reputation as one of the titans of American comics, but he also created two other landmarks: the scrupulously-researched and superbly-crafted war comics Two-Fisted Tales and Frontline Combat. Like every book in the new Fantagraphics EC line, "Corpse on the Imjin!" will feature extensive essays and notes by EC experts - but Kurtzman's stories, as vital, powerful, and affecting and as when they were created 60 years ago, make this a must-have.

There is one form of visual entertainment that is uniquely American.
Cartoons and comic strips may have appeared in other parts of the world first, but comic books were born here! Part narrative storytelling, part dramatic illustration, visually arresting comic books have been part of American culture since 1938. From Aarh! to Zap!: Harvey Kurtzman's Visual History of the Comics presents a chronology of the art from the perspectives of one of America's most influential creators of comics characters and comic books. Kurtzman, creator of Mad Magazine, takes a tour through the decades of comics production, from the Spirit of the 1940s to the Dark Knight of the 1990s.

Volume 1 - 1st printing. "Casper the Friendly Ghost!" It's amazing how many comics fans who grew up admiring Spider-Man, Batman, and Nick Fury still retain warm places in their hearts for Casper the Friendly Ghost. Now Dark Horse is delighted to participate in the revival of Casper who remains among the most beloved of cartoon and comic book icons. Casper the Friendly Ghost made his first appearance as a star of Paramount's Famous Cartoons in 1947 and entered the comics in 1949. But after five issues, publisher St. John's gave up the title. That's when Harvey Comics stepped in, and where this book begins. Harvey breathed life into Casper, and from the very first issue, the cover designs, stories, and artwork - drawn by the same animators who worked on the cartoons - were a cut above. Harvey Comics Classics Volume 1: Casper contains over 100 of Casper's very best stories, from the beginning of the Harvey series in 1952 through the classic years of the mid-1960s. The art is reproduced from crisp black-and-white printer's proofs and original artwork from the old Harvey archives, along with sixty four pages of color meticulously restored from the original comic books. The book includes a comprehensive introduction illustrated with historic memorabilia. ? Features an introduction by Jerry Beck. Softcover, 480 pages, PC/PB&W. Cover price $19.99.

1st printing. By Mark Arnold. Harvey Comics - the name conjures up images of characters such as Casper, the Friendly Ghost and Richie Rich, the Poor Little Rich Boy adorning small TV sets alongside the spine of their comic books. But the Harvey story was much, much more. A company started by Alfred Harvey in 1941, Harvey continued on with a number of genres including war, romance and horror, and fortuitously acquired the publishing rights to Paramount Pictures' Famous Studios animated cartoon characters including Baby Huey, Little Audrey and Herman & Katnip. Comic book and animation historian and Harvey expert Mark Arnold finally tells the complete story of Alfred Harvey's amazing company in The Harvey Comics Companion! Softcover, 6-in. x 9-in., 774 pages, B&W. Cover price $39.00.
