The long-running series featured tales of adventure and comedy starring the most famous cartoon character in the world, Mickey Mouse. While seeking a tribal blanket, Mickey and Goofy find a Native village that is mysteriously deserted. In another story, Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto are aided by a strange character while helping the town of Gopher Gulch overcome Mickey's old foe Pete. Each issue had 20 pages. In addition to comic stories, issues featured puzzles, editorials, and letters columns. The stories, including ones by Carl Barks, were serialized and often printed one page per issue, but each issue ended with one complete story.
