The classic comedy duo of TV, radio and film lives again in an animated cartoon and this tie-in comic. What was supposed to be a kid's comic based on a cartoon inspired by a vaudeville comedy team took a left turn into weirdness, thanks to the late '60s sensibilities of comics scribe Steve Skeates and underground comix legend Richard "Grass" Green. Lou becomes the superhero Captain Costello, but he still can't win Bud's respect. The fellows go out West. Lou builds a robot, but Bud is dubious. A parody of Little Orphan Annie.
