On a beautiful spring day in New York; Peter Parker joins Mary Jane, Flash, and Liz Allan for a tour boat ride up the Hudson River. However their fun afternoon is disrupted by the sudden appearance of a new super-villain: the Tarantula! The South American terrorist and his comrades hijack the day-liner and demand a ransom of one million dollars! But luckily for the passengers, the Amazing Spider-Man is onboard today! And he quickly challenges the Tarantula! Can the wall-crawler avoid the Tarantula's powerful sting...before another combatant enters the fray? Cameo appearances by J. Jonah Jameson, Joe Robertson, Betty Brant, Harry Osborn, and the Punisher. (Notes: Giant-Size Spider-Man #1 was also published this month.
