April 1926. Amazing Stories is an American science fiction magazine launched in April 1926 by Hugo Gernsback's Experimenter Publishing. It was the first magazine devoted solely to science fiction. 1st issue of the series reprints Austin Hall, G.A. England, and Jules Verne. 8" x 11", black and white with color cover.
