Betty comes to Veronica's aid in the campaign for class president in order to counteract Reggie's dirty campaign tricks. When the school system institutes a ballroom dancing class at Riverdale and assigns a handsome instructor to teach it, Veronica takes private dance lessons at night in order to improve her proficiency and ace Betty out of being the instructor's partner. Choosing a theme for the upcoming dance get Betty and Veronica discussing how competitive they are.
