Collects the Canteen Kate stories from Anchors Andrews (1953 The Saltwater Daffy) #1, Fightin' Marines (1951-1984 St. John/Charlton) #2-9, Canteen Kate (1952) #1-3, and "The Colonel's Daughter" from Fightin' Marines #15. Story and art by Matt Baker. Introduction by Bob Burden. Matt Baker was a master of the comic book medium as well as the female form. His impact is still felt today despite his early death. While his output was not as large as other giants in the industry, Baker's body of work is undeniably superb. This volume collects his rare Canteen Kate stories published by St. John between 1951 and 1953. Hardcover, 7 1/2-in. x 11-in., 160 pages, full color. Cover price $28.99.
