This was the first of the Casper digests, reprinting classic adventures of the world's friendliest ghost from the 1950s, '60s, and '70s. Cousin Clyde accidentally turns a TV set into a time machine, so that whenever the Ghostly Trio changes channels, Casper gets sent to a different time. He visits the dinosaur era, Ben Franklin, Michelangelo, Sir Isaac Newton and Christopher Columbus. Spooky gets his formula for homemade salad dressing slightly wrong and turns into a were-creature. After Wendy's house is destroyed, Casper follows monstrous footprints to gigantic, apelike Ding Dong. Ding Dong carries Wendy (a blonde) to the top of the Empire State Building, but luckily, someone bigger is on the way.
