Illustrated cardboard sleeve, looks like a matchbook but originally contained four sticks of chewing gum. Big Chief Wahoo was created by Allen Saunders and Elmer Woggon, and appeared in newspaper funnies from 1936 to 1947. The front illustration is signed by Woggon (who was Katy Keene creator Bill Woggon's older brother), and features Big Chief Wahoo dancing with his girlfriend, Minnie Ha-Cha. The sleeve also features the gag "Wahoo's Injun Slango: Jitterbug is Paleface-Do-Um-War-Dance." Clearly offensive, this humor was considered harmless fun at the time. The back of the sleeve features some cool premium gifts for the kiddies: A Chief Wahoo War Bonnet, magnetic fighting soldiers, and an adjustable compass ring. #8 of 9 in a series. Manufactured by the Chicle Ad. Corp., Toledo, Ohio. 1-5/8 in. x 4-1/2 in.; color. Cover price $0.01.

#8 "Tom Mix Saves the Day." Inside is a text story (with illustrations), 2-3/8 x 2-3/4 in.; black and white; 8 pages. Promotional Tom Mix comic booklet distributed as a premium in 1934 by the National Chicle Company. These booklets were issued in a wrapper with a piece of gum and are rare in any condition.
