Hamsters Go Hollywood. Story by Don Chin. Art by Cyndy Martin, credited as Marty C., plus 3-D effects by Ray Zone. Cover by Mike Dringenberg. One of the many martial-arts funny-animal comics that appeared in the wake of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles success, and nearly broke the comics industry. This one features hamsters with space-borne super-combat skills, and was the most popular, other than TMNT itself. It had to happen – a Star Wars spoof starring hamster martial-arts masters, in 3-D, yet. Featuring an early cover by future superstar artist Mike Dringenberg. 32 pages, B&W with 3-D effects. Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters "2-D" Edition is a special printing of this comics (limited to 300 copies) that was produced for color blind readers who cannot read a standard 3-D comic. This special edition has the same cover as the regular 3-D version, but the interior art is printed in ordinary black and white. Because the comic is NOT in any form of 3-D, no 3-D glasses were included with the comic, despite the "Free 3-D Glasses Included!" notice on the cover. School Daze! Sometimes listed as Blackthorne 3-D Series (1985) #80. Blackthorne Publishing presents another in its series of 3-D comics, this one featuring animated pizza-advertising mascot The Noid. The first Noid 3-D comic was apparently so successful that it demanded a sequel, but his pizza-delaying adventures were short-lived. This was the final issue of Blackthorne 3-D Series (1985), and one of the last Blackthorne comics published before the publisher went out of business. 32 pages, B&W with 3-D effects.
