Story, art and cover by Chester Gould. Blackthorne Publishing reprints the original comic-strip adventures of legendary tough cop Dick Tracy and his rogues gallery of freakish enemies. This issue includes strips from May 2 - August 31, 1932, presenting the first adventures of Dick Tracy. Tracys dangerous final showdown with Big Boy aboard the cruise ship; Then, Tracys pursuit of the forger Alec Penn involves the first of the strips famous death-traps, ending with Tracy fighting a bear, an unresolved cliffhanger (as this was the final issue). The only issue of the series that was not squarebound. 48 pages, B&W. Cover price $2.95.
