Indicia title is "SMOKEY STOVER, No. 229." Cover by Bill Holman and Dan Gormley. Stories and art by Bill Holman. Four Color is the collective title for Dell's long, irregularly published series of one-shots. This issue reprints color Sunday pages of the comic strip Smokey Stover, featuring the nonsensical genius of artist Bill Holman. Also featuring Smokey Stover's "topper" strip, about the misadventures of the cat Spooky. Spooky's owner figures out how Spooky can clean the floors while chasing mice. Spooky's owner builds a fence in his bedroom, so Spooky won't keep the neighbors up all night. When his owner runs out of milk, Spooky brings home a cow. 32 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
