Walt Disney's The Wonderful Adventures of Pinocchio. Stories and art by Walt Kelly and Chase Craig. Four Color is the collective title for Dell's long, irregularly published series of one-shots. This issue features Disney's official adaptation of the 1940 animated classic Pinocchio, featuring art by Pogo's Walt Kelly. The Blue Fairy brings Geppetto's wooden puppet Pinocchio to life, and Jiminy Cricket is directed to act as Pinocchio's conscience so he can become a real boy. But Pinocchio is led astray by con-man Honest John, captured by the evil showman Stromboli, and recruited with other truants to the suspiciously perfect Pleasure Island. To be reunited with Geppetto, Pinocchio and Jiminy must face the whale Monstro. 32 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
