"Champion in Dangerous Waters," script by Gaylord Du Bois, art by Morris Gollub; Champion and Rebel dog are in the high country, watching over the herd; A mare and her colt stray, and Champ rescues them from a cougar; The colt stumbles into an arroyo, trapped; Coudburst, downpour; Champ leads the colt out of the arroyo; As a flash flood rushes forth, Champ descends again into the arroyo, grabs a fawn by the nape, and leaps to safety; Rancher Tex: his jeep has stalled in floodwater; He rides Champ back to save the ranch from the storm and dam-burst.
