Stories by Nicola Cuti, Denny ONeil and Richard Hughes (credited as Shane O'Shea). Art by Ogden Whitney, Richard Grass Green, Pete Costanza, Jon D'Agostino and John Byrne. ACG Comics reprints the classic adventures of Herbie, the American Comics Group super-hero parody, featuring a rotund, lackadaisical, lollipop-sucking nerd boy who is inexplicably all-powerful. Herbie goes back to the Old West and encounters Doc Holliday, the famous gunfighter. Herbie uses his government connections to get Herbies father a job with the State Department, but then they become caught up in the war between the Hissians and the Pigturtles. Also, a Rog 2000 story starring the robot cabbie from E-Man comics, featuring early work by John Byrne. Reprints from Herbie #4 and 18, plus comedy shorts from Charltons Go-Go (one by comics legends Denny ONeil and Richard Grass Green) and a backup story from Adventures into the Unknown. Big Fat Mess at the Okay Corral; ROG 2000 vs. the SOG; Blooperman; Maury Decay-Disc Jockey; Clear the Road for Skinny; Stout Sorcery. 48 pages, B&W. Cover price $2.50.
