Volume 9 - 1st printing. Collects Initial D GN (2002-2008 Tokyopop) Vol. 17-18. Story and art by Shuichi Shigeno. Translated by Kevin Steinbach. Remember me? Relive Takumi Fujiwara's journey from tofu delivery boy to street-racing legend in an all-new, large-sized, 2-in-1 print edition of the series that made Japanese street racing into a worldwide phenomenon. Under the snow, Natsuki and Takumi grow closer. Then, Valentine's Day arrives, and with it, some last-minute confessions. As graduation approaches, Takumi must decide what he wants to do after high school. When Natsuki departs for college in Tokyo, Takumi stays behind to participate in Ryosuke's new racing team, Project D. With Takumi driving downhill and Keisuke going up the slopes, they'll break records all over Japan--unless their opponents have what it takes! The curtain rises on the next stage of Takumi's racing career! This edition is still running in the '90s but features a refreshed translation and lettering for the 2020s, as well as a special large size. Softcover, 6-in. x 8-in., 448 pages, B&W. Cover price $22.99.

Includes Limited Edition Trading Card - Volume 9 - 1st printing. Story and art by Shuichi Shigeno. Like many before him, Seiji of Team Emperor just can't hang against Tak and the 86. Seems like everyone on the mountain is talking about the enigmatic 86 and its unknown driver, but Tak, modest as ever, keeps it all to himself. However, when some chick goes off on Natalie for no good reason, Tak's more than willing to give the girl and her boyfriend a lesson in humility with an impromptu race. Off the road, Bunta's still waiting for parts to the new engine for the 86. But the biggest news of all, is that Natalie's so-called 'father' is actually an older man she sleeps with for money. The thing is, she's fallen in love with Tak, and when she tells the old guy that it's over, he insists on one last 'date.' None of this may matter a bit, though, since Tak's just received an anonymous phone call dishing all the dirt about Natalie's dark secret. Softcover, 5-in. x 7-in., 240 pages, B&W. Cover price $9.99.
