This item is not in stock at MyComicShop. If you use the "Add to want list" tab to add this issue to your want list, we will email you when it becomes available.

"Joe Palooka with Knobby" - This item is an 8-Pager, commonly known as a Tijuana Bible; most were published ca. 1920s-1940s. The artists, writers, and publishers of these booklets are generally unknown. Most 8-Pagers are humorous takes on newspaper comic strip characters, movie stars, and political figures of the time, usually in sexually explicit situations, and invariably produced without permission or respect for copyright. These are timeless pieces of American comic sub-culture and are often considered the precursor to the underground comics created by the likes of Robert Crumb and Gilbert Shelton. Due to the circumstances in which these items were originally created, it is virtually impossible to determine edition and printing, although modern era reprints are usually easily identifiable. We will note these differences to the best of our ability. Not available for international sale. You must be 18 or older to order this item. Stapled pages, 4 1/2-in. x 2 1/2-in., 8 pages, single ink color.
