Charlton Comics, believing Tarzan to be a public-domain character, produced this short-lived series before the Edgar Rice Burroughs estate made them cease and desist. It's an unauthorized adaptation of Burroughs' Jungle Tales of Tarzan, telling tales of a young Tarzan before he met Jane. An unusual item for the Tarzan collector. Stolen elephant meat gives Tarzan nightmares, in a story with art by comics legend Sam Glanzman. In another tale of Tarzan's early life, Tarzan wrestles with the concept of "God."
