George Herriman's surreal and beloved comic strip from the early 20th century influenced many later generations of cartoonists. Krazy Kat adores Ignatz Mouse, taking his hurled bricks as signs of reciprocated love. Trying to restore order, Officer Pupp only manages to become the third corner in their eternal triangle.
