Stories and art by Doc Winner. Dell's Large Feature Comic reprinted classic comic strips. This issue reprints Thimble Theatre, the original Popeye comic strip, from Dec. 14, 1938 to August 12, 1939. Popeye and friends land on an island, where they meet Susie the Sea Nymph. Susie is so strong she can punch out Toar, and she does. In search of the Fountain of Youth, Popeye meets Neptune, and Wimpy meets a mermaid who wants to marry him. Alas, she doesn't like onions on her hamburgers.
