Widowed after only a month of marriage, Lois takes up with the kindly older man she meets at the cemetery, but she's not so sure about his handsome son. Margaret raises her sister Sally after their parents die, but by the time hot redheaded Sally is ready to start dating, Margaret has become a control freak who must approve her choices in men. Maura falls for her sister's boyfriend Neil, in a story that includes this dialogue: "Don't be a dope, Maura! Eating your heart out for your sister's boy friend is strictly from Squaresville!" A post-war, pre-Code romance comic from pioneering female publisher Rae Herman of Orbit-Wanted (who doubled as Love Diary's advice columnist, Ray Mann). Sharon tries to rush into marriage with tennis star Rudy and risks throwing him off his game, in an early story by future Marvel and Conan legend John Buscema. Singer Janice is treated terribly by Tom, but can't bring herself to end the relationship. Doris's habitual lateness threatens both her job and her romance with attorney Jeff.
