The world's mightiest mouse defends Mouseville from danger - mostly cats - in the comic-book adventures of the Terrytoons animated superhero. Several of these early issues included comics versions of the classic Mighty Mouse cartoons; some of the artists worked on the cartoons as well. A "cool" mouse tricks other mice into coming to the Big City, where cats lie in wait. Mighty Mouse fills in for the striking lion tamer Ronzoni at a circus, so Ronzoni sends the lions after him. Mighty Mouse has a showdown with outlaw Deadeye Dick in Cactus Junction, in an adaptation of the 1947 Mighty Mouse cartoon "Mighty Mouse Meets Deadeye Dick." Terrytoons Mighty Mouse Mini Comic (1950) is #6 of 6 in the Oxydol/Dreft mini-comic series. The six titles in the series are: 1) Li'l Abner in "The Mystery O' the Cave!"; 2) Daisy Mae in "Ham Sangwidges!"; 3) John Wayne in "Cowboy Trouble Shooter!"; 4) Shmoo in "Washable Jones' Travels!"; 5) Archie in "Mask Me No Questions!"; and 6) Mighty Mouse in "Mighty Mouse. The complete set was originally available via mail order and could be had for one Oxydol or Dreft box top or two wrappers from Ivory Soap plus 15c (offer expired August 31, 1950). This promotional comic is full color, 32-pages including covers, 6-5/8-in. x 3-14-in., all newsprint, no cover price.
